Lena & Matthew
San Miguel de Allende is more than cobblestone streets and colonial charm, it's where old-world romance meets modern celebration.
I specialize in destination wedding photography, San Miguel de Allende is a great place for it! Trust me, creating warm, authentic images for couples from the United States and Canada who choose this UNESCO World Heritage city for its timeless architecture, vibrant culture, and unforgettable atmosphere.
Lena & Matthew traveled from Bend, Oregon to get married in San Miguel de Allende. Like many couples that I worked with, it is after a first photoshoot at the beach that they told me they wanted me as their wedding photographer. They are in love with the city's golden light, rooftop terraces, and the way tradition lives alongside creativity, but they worried about finding a photographer who could capture the spirit of the place without making it feel touristy, they wanted someone they trusted, someone they known and would go along with their vision.
I went to San Miguel to stay with them 2 days prior the wedding and planned together the different places it would happen, because their wedding was very different from any other.
By the end of their celebration, they had images that felt both cinematic and intimate: the ceremony in a retreat center, candlelit dinner in a private hacienda courtyard, and dancing under a majestic tree.
I work with couples who value place and presence equally, whether you're planning a boutique hotel wedding in San Miguel de Allende, a hacienda celebration in Guanajuato, or traveling from the Pacific Northwest or anywhere in the U.S. for a destination wedding that honors Mexican heritage and your personal love story.
My approach is observational, culturally aware, and designed especially for couples who want wedding photography that captures not just their day, but the soul of where they chose to celebrate it..
