Working with Sunru, a poet, musician, and artist, was inspiring. Over two days, we explored the village of Mazunte, capturing moments for a documentary by Nick Werber that mirrored the depth of his creativity. When Nick asked me to be part of the creative project, I felt honored and started planning ahead for the shooting days.

Each location became a canvas for his energy—the ocean's rhythm, the painted walls' textures, and the golden light of the Oaxacan sun blended seamlessly with his presence. Sunru’s artistry and authenticity drew me in, making every shot feel like a collaboration of souls.

This experience reminded me of the power of connection in photography, where the subject’s essence guides the story and elevates the work to something truly meaningful.

Art meets presence, soul meets shadow.
