Embodied Portrait Session on the Oaxacan Coast

From the start, working with Thalia was an invitation into a space of depth, beauty, and clear intention. As a somatic coach and teacher, she understands how presence shapes experience — how energy shifts when it’s truly witnessed. For her, this session wasn’t simply about being photographed; it was about expressing beauty, desire, sacredness, and safety in full alignment.

To honor that, I created a space where she could relax, explore, and move freely — where play and pause existed side by side. In that freedom, her essence unfolded effortlessly. The portraits that emerged reflect more than her appearance; they hold magnetism, clarity, and a deep sense of embodiment.

Thalia has a rare ability to draw the viewer in — to invite them into her world with both power and softness. This session, held in Mazunte along the Oaxacan coast, became a reflection of that gift. It’s the kind of work I love most as a Puerto Escondido photographer: co-creating portraits that don’t just show someone, but reveal them.

Since then, Thalia has returned each year, and with each session, our creative rhythm deepens. What began as a collaboration has grown into a continuing exploration — of self, presence, and the sacred art of being seen.
